 Ski Season

Sportinia slopes

Sauze d'Oulx became the first ski resort in italy, and is now one of the five resorts which make up the Milky Way ski area, comprised of 400 kilometres of piste (much of which has artificial snowmaking facilities).
With an extensive connected lift system, the ski area provides a great variety of groomed and off piste runs, as well as snowparks. Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities will enjoy the excellent selection of undulating tree-lined runs, offering fantastic views down the Susa Valley and across into France. Numerous bars and restaurants on the piste welcome you for a snack or lunch with friends.

The events for the 2006 Winter Olympics were based in and around the Turin area, with the ski events taking place in the Milky Way and surrounding resorts.
Sauze d'Oulx hosted the freestyle skiing events for which a new piste was created. It was therefore the only participating resort to have all its pistes open to the public throughout the Olympic period.

The village itself manages to combine modern bars and restaurants with the traditional charm of the old town streets.
The resort has been popular with British tourists for many years, and is well-known for it's lively après ski. However, there are winter activities for all to enjoy, from torchlight descents, skidooing, helicopter rides and party nights, to pool, spa treatments and football excursions to Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan matches.
